Dear Brother Lee and Sister Kwon

How nice to hear from you, greeting us as we wait to greet our risen savior! We are happy to hear you are well and pray that your ministry continues to be blessed by God.

We have had a very busy winter, with travel and work for the Connecticut Conference. We have also had good times with our family, as we celebrate birthdays. Our oldest son is now 40 and my mother is 91 and one grandson is two and the other will be two in May. Three birthdays on the same weekend in March gave us many celebrations and lots of birthday cake!

March has also been a time of great excitement concerning college basketball, with many games to watch on TV. The games finally ended last night, and the University of Connecticut are national champions of both the men's and women's teams. This is very exciting and has never happened before, that both champions were won by the same university! The games were very exciting and since they were played at night, we had many late bedtimes!

Today Hugh and I are going to Vermont for a few days rest away from the TV, but we will return to Windsor for Easter. We are waiting for spring here - it has been really cold and we need some warm weather. Even on sunny days it is still cold! The flowers need some warmth too!

We certainly will keep Yoonsung in our prayers as he does his military service. We know that how strange it is to be without children at home! We call people like you "empty nesters" because your nest (home) is empty of children.

In this time we pray also for some settlement in Iraq and the Holy Land. We don't know how, but peace must come to that area and the violence end. And we pray for the people of the Korean peninsula that the lives of all the people will share the benefits of a society founded on justice and peace.

Blessings to you both and to the members of Hasanwoon Church. Happy Easter! Christ is risen indeed!

Sister Kate and Brother Hugh
